News just in from Mr Kuschke, the kids were woken up at 4 am this morning to make breakfast and pack-up before their 25km cycle which started at 6am. Special mention was made about Nadia le Grange (Louw) who managed to do the full 25km cycle with that foot. WELL DONE NADIA!
At lunch time they were entertained by a Professor who played the pipe organ at the Dutch Reform Church. The pupils were all in awe.
It is apparently very hot and another 22km cycle lies ahead before they reach their destination.
Tonight will be full of surprises and a proper rest!

Last night the kids had an amazing time, they were entertained with a drumming session, Ingrid and Carol-Anne played guitar and Emil the sax - all had a wonderful time. This morning they were a bit delayed... by and hour and fifteen minutes to be exact, I think it was all the music still ringing in their ears.

They eventually got away at 07h15 and are cycling.

Good morning GKC parents, I was requested to compliment each and everyone of you, according to the staff they have an awesome group of kids. Last night was the potjie competition and the "Heroes" won - WELL DONE.
Today is a rest day, LOL.
The kids could sleep late and only had to meet for breakfast at 10h00, then they have to do some reed hacking in a nearby dam, followed by a short hike up the mountain. Tonight is stargazing. Whew, so much for a rest day! Tomorrow is the tough one - a 75km cycle through a mountain pass. We wish you all well.
